On this page I'll include some of my tips and tricks I've learned while keeping Tropical fish. Where appropriate, I'll include steps or pictures to help clarify my explanations.
Please feel free to contribute your own tips - I'll post the best ones so everyone can see them. Here's an example of a tip I might include in keeping Tropical fish. Tip 1: How to tell the difference between male and female fish. 
Male's are usually the more colourful than females, also the male has a more pointed annal fin. The best example are Guppies the male is full of colour all over his body, while the female's body is plain and only colour in the tail. TIP 2: Creating a Biological filter bed.
By using an ol fashion corner filter with a sponge insert from an Aquaclear filter you will have excelent biological filtration. |
